NGO SUPPORTS RECONCILIATION

Cr Thang Ngo will lead a UNITY group in the Corroboree 2000 walk across the Harbour Bridge this Sunday to support Aboriginal reconciliation.

UNITY is encouraging every Australian to support reconciliation and 100 UNITY members will join the walk.

"I joining the call for the Prime Minister to say a sincere ‘sorry’ for past injustices so that Australia can move on in harmony" said Cr Ngo.

Cr Ngo believes it is important for migrant-Australians to also support this cause because Aboriginal Australians and migrants share many similar issues and problems.

"Discrimination, negative stereotypes, lack of job opportunities are just some issues both groups face daily" he concluded.
