The announcement of an Inquiry into Fairfield Council by the Minister for Local Government has been warmly welcomed by Fairfield Councillor Thang Ngo.

Cr Ngo, one of three councillors who requested the Inquiry said the Inquiry is needed to clear the good name of all Fairfield Councillors.

"I certainly have nothing to hide and welcome the announcement" said Ngo.

"I welcome the opportunity, under oath if need be to make public the influence or lack of influence of Mr Phuong Ngo over me".

"From the beginning, this exercise has been guilt by association which has resulted in a witch hunt on Fairfield Council and I hope this Inquiry will once and for all end any doubts and restore public confidence in Fairfield Council.
