FREE GST SEMINAR FOR FAIRFIELD BUSINESSES

Fairfield UNITY Councillor Thang Ngo welcomes the Australian Taxation Office initiative of holding Seminars to help businesses in Cabramatta prepare for the GST.

The ATO responded promptly to concerns raised by Cr Ngo last week that many small businesses in Cabramatta are confused and concerned about the GST, to be introduced this Saturday.

"When I spoke to local businesses in Cabramatta, I found around 80% have not even registered for an ABN.

"The GST has many implications for retail businesses and I would encourage everyone to attend the FREE Tax Office GST Seminar".

Cr Ngo was pleased that he has been able to negotiate for a special FREE Seminar for local businesses, in English, Chinese and Vietnamese.
